In commercial transactions, many organisations employ the services of inspection agents to ensure the shipment quantity and product quality is in conformity with contractual requirements. The professional inspection operations of IMS offer strong logistic support to clients when addressing quantity and quality issues. All inspections can be carried out to ISO17020 Requirements via Reliance Technical Service.
Initial Production Checks
IMS inspects the quality of materials, parts and components at the initial stage of production to ascertain conformity with specified requirements. Production samples will be drawn randomly and checked to assure they meet specifications. Valuable data will be generated for continuous improvement in the production process.
In Process Inspections
IMS steps in again when the production reaches approximately 30% of the shipment quantity. The objective of this is to ensure that any quality problems previously identified are completely rectified and that the product quality conforms to client requirements.
Final Random Inspection
Upon completion of the production, IMS inspects the consignment against specifications and defect classification. All findings are reported to clients promptly by fax or email before the issuance of the final report. Unless otherwise instructed, ANSI ASQC Z1.4, level II, AQL 2.5/4.0 for random sampling and inspection is usually applied by IMS.
Container stuffing
IMS inspectors generally report the following:
- condition of container
- tally
- seal number of container
- container number
